Taylor Swift has been confirmed to present at the 2025 Grammy Awards Sunday night.
The Recording Academy made the late announcement Thursday, Variety reported. All eyes are on the singer, as her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department" stands in contention for six trophies. Swift has previously won 14 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year a record four times for "Fearless" (2010), "1989" (2016), "Folklore" (2021) and "Midnights" (2024)
The 2025 Grammy nominations highlight a year dominated by female artists, with BeyoncĂ© leading with 11 nominations for her album “Cowboy Carter” and its standout singles. She and Swift are among five women who have secured nominations in all three of the Grammys’ top general categories—Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Joining them in these nominations are Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will have a "renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours," according to an announcement.
"It’s not going to be a typical Grammy party atmosphere," said Harvey Mason Jr, the CEO of the Recording Academy, according to The Guardian. "It’s not only ‘the show must go on’ but the show must provide a greater service. Of course, we’re going to honor music, but our goal is to utilize music to make a difference."
In the days leading up to the Grammys, record labels often host high-profile parties, but most have been canceled due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. With at least 29 lives lost and thousands of buildings destroyed, the focus has shifted to donating funds to help those in need.
"We have some great things in the show that will definitely help to raise funds," Mason said. "It will honor some of the heroes that have been protecting our lives and our homes. It will hopefully shine a light on some people that need more help and more services.
