Stinging Pro-DeSantis Ad: 'What Happened to Trump?'

By    |   Tuesday, 18 April 2023 11:06 AM EDT

A super PAC backing prospective GOP presidential candidate Gov. Ron DeSantis is running a stinging ad that takes aim at former President Donald for "stealing pages from the Biden-Pelosi playbook" — and asks, "What happened to Trump?"

The "Never Back Down" super PAC ad titled, "Fight Democrats, Not Republicans" began running Sunday, RealClear Politics reported.

"Donald Trump is being attacked by a Democrat prosecutor in New York," it says, a reference to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

"So why is he spending millions attacking the Republican governor of Florida? Trump is stealing pages from the Biden-Pelosi playbook, repeating lies about Social Security."

"Trump should fight Democrats," it says. "Not lie about Gov. DeSantis. What happened to Trump?"

Last week, a pro-Trump super PAC clobbered DeSantis in an ad, mocking him for eating pudding with his hands — and for supporting raising the age for Social Security.
