Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, has announced his endorsement of former President Donald Trump for the 2024 GOP primary and over President Joe Biden, saying it is time to put "America first instead of America last."
"Whether you like Trump or not, Americans face a binary choice," Lee tweeted in his endorsement of Trump on Friday night. "Biden refuses to enforce our border, prosecutes his opponents, & embraces policies that make life unaffordable for hardworking Americans.
"I'll take the mean tweets. I choose Trump."
Trump shared Lee's endorsement on his Truth Social account early Saturday morning.
"Thank you to Senator Mike Lee of Utah - A GREAT HONOR!" Trump wrote.
