A suspect has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of Greensboro, North Carolina, police officer Michael Horan.
Horan responded to a call about a man with a gun at a Food Lion grocery store late Monday morning. Horan confronted him and was shot and killed after a struggle developed.
Suspect Tarell Isaac McMillian was apprehended Monday afternoon after a police pursuit and is now in the county jail with no bond. He also faces charges in relation to the vehicle pursuit.
The State Bureau of Investigation stated that McMillian allegedly shot Horan before Horan was able to draw his own weapon.
