The wife of ABC News chief political correspondent George Stephanopoulos said this week the couple's teenage daughter made a comment about abortion after seeing Donald Trump en route to winning the presidency.
Ali Wentworth appeared Monday on "The View" and relayed a brief story about the conversations that took place in their home on election night.
"It just involves my 14-year-old getting upset about the election and screaming 'no abortions' really loudly," Wentworth said. "And I was like, 'you haven't kissed a boy yet, don't use that word so flippantly.'"
The Washington Free Beacon posted a clip of Wentworth's comment.
Wentworth also said their other daughter, who is 11, is scared in the wake of Democrat Hillary Clinton's loss in the election and sleeps in the couple's bed at night.
"I have an 11-year-old daughter who doesn't really understand what ISIS is, but she knows that she is scared, and she is now sleeping in bed with us every night," Wentworth said.
George Stephanopoulos is a Democrat and served as the White House director of communications and a senior adviser to the president in the Clinton administration.
