The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has information that Iran's Khondab heavy water research reactor has been hit but reported no radiological effects, it said in an update on Israeli attacks targeting the country's nuclear program.
"IAEA has information the Khondab (former Arak) heavy water research reactor, under construction, was hit. It was not operational and contained no nuclear material, so no radiological effects," the IAEA said in a post on X.
"At present, IAEA has no information indicating the Khondab heavy water plant was hit," it added.
