Israeli will not compromise on security and will intervene if it sees a threat from Gaza in the future, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said Tuesday as a cease-fire deal with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas appeared close to being agreed to by all parties.
"And if we will see terrorism in the Gaza Strip at any point in the future, we will do the same thing we are doing in Judea and Samaria," he told a press conference in Rome with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
Saar employed a term widely used in Israel for the occupied West Bank, where Israeli troops regularly conduct raids against Palestinian terrorist groups.
