Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed promoting "a fair and reciprocal trade partnership" and "equitable defense burden sharing" during a meeting on Wednesday with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun, the U.S. State Department said.

The department did not mention the issue of hundreds of Korean workers detained in an immigration raid at a Hyundai plant in Georgia.
