The Russian and Chinese economies complement each other and Moscow and Beijing share common approaches and values, President Vladimir Putin told an economic forum in Russia's far eastern city of Vladivostok on Friday.

Putin has just completed a visit to China, during which the two countries signed a memorandum on a big new gas pipeline project.
