Tarantino Visits IDF Base in Israel to Boost Troop Morale

Legendary director Quentin Tarantino recently visited a southern Israeli military base in an attempt to boost morale among soldiers during the conflict with Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Tarantino, 60, posed for pictures with troops at an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) camp. The pictures were posted Friday by the Israel War Room official account on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Though it was unclear exactly where he visited, Tarantino appeared to be standing in front of a military-style aircraft, surrounded by members of the IDF.

The United Kingdom news outlet Metro reported that he was also snapped several times with fans as he traveled through the southern kibbutz of Sde Boker.

The pictures reportedly appeared on other social media channels, including TikTok, where a fan wrote, “An exciting moment amidst all the s***.”

For Tarantino, the visit held personal significance, as he has been living in Tel Aviv for the past two years with his Israeli wife, singer Daniella Pick, and their son and daughter, Metro reported.

Tarantino met Pick, 39, in 2009 during the premiere of his critically-acclaimed film “Inglourious Basterds” in Israel.

The A-list director visited the IDF as it continues to retaliate for the conflict that began Oct. 7 when Hamas launched a land, sea, and air attack on the Jewish State, killing at least 1,300 people and wounding hundreds more.

According to the latest figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 2,670 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict and 9,600 injured. That figure is expected to rise in the wake of the explosion at the Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza on Tuesday.

The White House said Wednesday that “Israel is not responsible” for the blast, following preliminary analysis of overhead imagery, intercepts, and open-source information.

"Based on what I've seen, it appears as though it was done by the other team, not you," President Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a meeting, adding that there were "a lot of people out there" who weren't sure what caused the blast.

In the wake of the brutal attack, Israeli actress Gal Gadot is using her social media platforms to raise awareness about the slaughter and the hostages taken by Hamas.

“At least 250 Israeli have been murdered and dozens of women children and elders held as hostages in Gaza, by Palestinian military group Hamas,” Gadot wrote on Instagram Oct. 7. “Starting early morning more than 3,000 rockets were fire. Hamas is holding hostages, controlling bases and settlements in Israel. There have been more than 1,500 injured and heavy fighting is still ongoing. ‘I hear their voices and they are banging on the door. I am with my two little children.’ My heart is aching. Praying for all of those in pain.”
