Russian troops have captured the village of Solone in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, TASS news agency reported on Thursday, citing the Russian defense ministry.
Solone is located roughly 1.5 miles southwest of Vovkove, which Russia claimed to have captured on Tuesday, according to a report.
Russia has made repeated claims of territorial gains, particularly in Donetsk, where the battle near Pokrovsk has escalated.
This city plays a crucial role in Ukraine's military logistics in the region, which is adjacent to Russia’s border.
