Saudi Arabia said on Tuesday it had executed two citizens who joined a terrorist cell that was planning to carry out a suicide bombing at a military base in the kingdom, according to a statement from the interior ministry.

The statement did not indicate when any attack was planned to have taken place or whether the executions were related to the current regional tensions.
