Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday welcomed a U.S. trade court ruling that blocked most of President Donald Trump's tariffs, many of which apply to imports from Canada.

"[This decision] is consistent with Canada's long standing position that the ... tariffs were unlawful as well as unjustified," he told the House of Commons.
