Ukraine's parliament voted to amend the country's budget for this year Tuesday, raising defense spending by another $7.7 billion.

The bill was passed by 297 lawmakers, a comfortable majority.

Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russia's invasion, spends a huge chunk of its budget on fighting the war, and is reliant on foreign creditors for much of the money.
