Hollywood's Hypocrites Can't Take What They Dish Out

Ellen DeGeneres said in an interview she does not want President Donald Trump appearing on her show. "I'm not going to change his mind," DeGeneres told NBC's Matt Lauer in a new interview. "He's against everything that I stand for. We need to look at someone else who looks different than us, and believes in something that we don't believe in and still accept them and still let them have their rights."

Is it the vapid Hollywood bubble in which she lives that causes DeGeneres to say such moronic things? And what exactly is she talking about? In these remarks, she claims that we must tolerate and respect one another’s differences. And then she uses that very lecture to justify her decision to exclude President Trump from being a guest on her show — assuming, of course, he ever takes leave of his senses enough to actually do so. Do these leftists even hear what they’re saying? Do logic and consistency even matter to them? Apparently not.

And then there are the platitudes against "hatred." Leftists love to pose as morally superior by holding up signs that say, "Love Trumps Hate." The implication is that if you agree with Donald Trump about anything, you are automatically a hater and therefore morally inferior.

Have you ever tried to have a calm, loving and rational discussion with any leftist- Democrat about politics? Good luck. You haven’t seen hatefulness until you try to discuss politics with a leftist.

The people who scream the loudest against hate are the biggest haters. In psychology it’s called projection. Since the election, these leftists have coined a whole new dictionary of comical psychiatric clichés. DeGeneres demonstrates the typical attitude of almost all liberals: Tolerance for all, except for those you deem intolerant and hateful.

Why do you deem certain people intolerant and hateful? Because they disagree with you. They disagree with you on things like taxes, socialized medicine, and how best to defeat ISIS — if at all. They disagree with you that we should stop ignoring existing immigration laws, and that the rights of individual American citizens come before the needs or wants of people outside of the United States — or inside the U.S. through illegal means. These are very real differences, but isn’t it possible for reasonable people to disagree and have discussions about them? Evidently not. Funny thing is, before she became so full of herself, DeGeneres used to be one of the "nicer" leftists out there.

Can you imagine a mass market celebrity talk show host saying the same thing about Obama when he was in office? Granted, the vast majority of celebrity talk show hosts are leftist Democrats. But if one of them had dared to ban Obama from his or her show, the keening shrieks of outrage would have been heard around the world.

Not that President Donald Trump should care about what Ellen DeGeneres thinks, any more than the left-wing scolderswho dominate shows like "The View," or hacks for the political establishment like Stephen Colbert. It’s a free country, and people may publicly like or dislike whomever they wish. It’s the blatant hypocrisy, brazen intellectual dishonesty and willful inconsistency that is shocking.

Although Donald Trump has been more supportive of gay marriage and gays in general than any Republican president in history, it’s not gay issues that cause leftist celebrities to act this way. DeGeneres does not care about same-sex marriage nearly so much as indiscriminate immigration policies for Muslims, higher income taxes, socialized medicine, and decimating the military.

And most importantly, she desperately needs to be seen by her leftist cohorts as supporting such things. I'll bet she has never cracked an economics book, political philosophy book or any books of serious thoughts and ideas. But so long as she’s blathering the exact same thing as all the other Democratic shills in Hollywood, this overrides everything else — including the prospect of alienating over half of her potential viewing audience who tune in for light entertainment, not politics.

These Hollywood people are intellectual lightweights, which explains their lame-brained ideological positions. They live in the psychological and intellectual equivalent of echo chambers, each parroting what the other says. As if that somehow makes it true.
