In marketing, the most effective tactic in converting customers is sampling, which is getting potential customers to try your product or service.
This could be said of Biden and the American voter, where voters sampled Biden's policies, which support a leftish ideology that most Americans disagree when one considers the recent polls regarding Biden's policies and brand.
With the election of President Biden, one could say that they have been exposed to the left's ideology (sampling), which includes DEI business policy, oil production reductions, a sympathetic view of crime that favors the alleged perpetrator rather than a victim, and an uncompromising policy to climate change, which all clearly alienate most Americans.
To say it another way, Biden and his supporters are on the wrong side of all the issues endorsed by his administration. It's as if it was noted that Biden was wrong on every major foreign policy issue, and the statement was more than a simple declarative; it was but a prognostication of all foreign or domestic policies that came across his desk.
The left with their guru in the White House, President Biden, cannot confront this fact of life — you may be smart, but most Americans disagree with you. Biden supporters are unaware that many Americans feel they are seldom correct but never in doubt.
It comes with the territory: Self-perceived intelligent people, those with advanced degrees, or elites believe that anyone who disagrees with them are either a denier, uninformed, or even worse, darn right stupid.
Anthony Skok, retired "Deep State" employee of the U.S. Foreign Service, expresses this relationship like this when asked why do reasonable, educated, and intelligent people still support Trump after all we've experienced in the last few years.
Skok says:
"Because a majority of his people are not reasonable, many are not educated (at least from what I've seen), and while many are intelligent, political fanaticism has impaired their ability to reason in a logical manner (it is the main reason you can't have a decent conversation with most. Religious people are another group with which I find it difficult to hold a sane discussion). From where I sit, the mantra of the Republican party has become "party over country and power over all." Owning the libs more important than doing the right thing, and oh so many actually vote against their own best self interest in every election (see: healthcare, school funding, Social Security, medicare/medicad, etc.)."
This inability to even consider an alternate universe when it comes to political ideology is very troubling. An example is when President Biden makes many attempts to state the truth, e.g., his recent statement regarding inflation being 7% when he assumed office when it was in reality close to 2%.
Not to mention his exit from his 1988 presidential run, where he had difficulty with the truth that caused him to leave the race.
However, when Trump's salesmanship bravado is presented to the public, it is met with criticism that Trump has trouble with the truth. These critics fail to appreciate the differences in speech. Biden is a "political prevaricator," while Trump uses sales metaphors to create an alleged false narrative to his critics.
Let's be fair: both sides need to watch what they say, but the fact checkers appear to cover only one side.
The Democrats and the left have given the voters a choice through sampling. Let's see if it pays off for them, and if it does, one can say it is always easier when you have marketing in mind.
