Speaker Johnson Faces Fight to Renew Trump Tax Cuts, Avoid $4T Hike

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., took some lumps from his own caucus to get a continuing resolution passed just before Christmas and likely has even bigger lumps headed his way next year if he continues in the position.

Perhaps the biggest will be to reauthorize President-elect Donald Trump's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which expires at the end of 2025.
