Lawmakers Push to Restore Immediate Expensing for R&D

Lost amid the looming Congressional battle to renew President-elect Donald Trump's signature tax cuts beyond 2025 is an effort to reinstall a key tax provision that expired more than two years ago.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are renewing their push to restore immediate research and development (R&D) expensing, saying that doing so is imperative to keep U.S. companies competitive with China.
