Progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Tuesday morning responded to criticism from Donald Trump by accusing the president of "illegally bombing Iran."
Trump, who ordered the U.S. military to "obliterate" Iran's uranium enrichment facilities during the weekend, took to social media Tuesday morning to rip Ocasio-Cortez for saying the president should be impeached for his actions.
"Mr. President, don't take your anger out on me - I'm just a silly girl," Ocasio-Cortez posted on X an hour after Trump posted his comments.
"Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran and dragging us into war.
"It only took you 5 months to break almost every promise you made."
In his post, Trump called Ocasio-Cortez "one of the 'dumbest' people in Congress" and added that examining "her Test Scores" will show "she is NOT qualified for office …"
"Instead of her constant complaining, Alexandria should go back home to Queens, where I was also brought up, and straighten out her filthy, disgusting, crime ridden streets, in the District she 'represents,' and which she never goes to anymore," Trump wrote.
Ocasio-Cortez responded specifically to that part of Trump's post.
"Also, I'm a Bronx girl. You should know that we can eat Queens boys for breakfast. Respectfully," wrote Ocasio-Cortez, whose district includes parts of Queens and the Bronx.
Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman brushed aside Ocasio-Cortez's clamoring to impeach President Trump over his Saturday strikes against three of Iran's nuclear facilities.
Fetterman, who supported the U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, said Ocasio-Cortez's call for impeachment should be reserved for more extreme circumstances.
"Of course, no, she knows it. I know it. We all know it," Fetterman told Fox News after being asked about the possibility of Trump getting impeached over the strikes.
"That's not going anywhere on. And you know, he's been impeached twice, and now he's still our president.
"I think if you throw that term around, that actually diminishes what the severity of what impeachment is really reserved for."
