Trump Super PAC Calls on GOP Opponents to Drop Out

By    |   Monday, 15 January 2024 10:01 PM EST

The super PAC backing Republican front-runner Donald Trump celebrated the "historic" victory in the Iowa caucuses and called on the remaining GOP candidates to "face reality" and drop out of the primary.

MAGA Inc. trumpeted the Iowa caucus results in a statement Monday night.

"The people of Iowa sent a clear message tonight: Donald Trump will be the next Republican nominee for President. It's now time to make him the next President of the United States.

"Joe Biden's team just announced a massive war chest," the statement went on. "Every dollar spent by President Trump's primary losers is a dollar that could be fighting Joe Biden. Once the DC RINOs are finished crying in their cocktails over tonight's results, it's time for Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy to face reality and stop wasting time and resources."

However, the DeSantis campaign also released a statement, blasting media outlets for calling the caucuses for Trump at 8:30 ET, roughly 30 minutes after the start.

"It is absolutely outrageous that the media would participate in election interference by calling the race before tens of thousands of Iowans even had a chance to vote. The media is in the tank for Trump and this is the most egregious example yet," the statement read.

Major media outlets called the caucuses for Trump with no more than 2% of all the votes in.
