A Resilient Blue-Collar Queens Billionaire Became a Man of the People
Newly reelected President Donald J. Trump announced that he will usher our great nation into the "golden age."
And he will do so with an indisputable mandate from the American people.
And I never doubted it — not once.
Many in the conservative world were dismissive of my optimism.
I predicted weeks ago that Trump would win — and that he would win by huge margins.
Some called me foolhardy.
Others delusional.
But, if I may say, I tend to read people quite well.
I’m not an Upper East Side pundit or an Inside-the-Beltway politico.
My roots are blue collar. Grew up in the south, and I had to work my way through school.
I attend church on Sundays.
Furthermore, I was raised to say, "Yes Ma’am," and "No Sir."
I was also taught to respect our flag and honor our military.
Those were the values by which I was guided.
But over the past four years, if not much longer, those values have been under assault by the left.
Foundational values for our republic. I even discussed these matters with Trump directly in my book, "Twilight's Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved?"
The Justice Department (DOJ) was literally weaponized to take down President Trump, his administration, and his supporters.
Those who are anti-abortion were subjected to the most outrageous behavior.
Think: jack-booted thugs — knocking down the doors of their homes.
Guns drawn — pre-dawn raids.
Heather Idoni is a 75-year-old grandmother.
She was sent to federal prison for two years.
Her crime was to pray and sing hymns outside an abortion clinic.
Parents who raised concerned about the transgender movement got visits from federal law enforcement agents.
The same thing happened to law-abiding gun owners.
Our military was caught red-handed indoctrinating officers that evangelical Christians and devout Catholics were domestic terrorists.
The FBI admitted they had infiltrated Roman Catholic parishes — trying to recruit priests to spy on the congregation.
Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon were sent to federal prison because they refused to testify before the Jan. 6 committee. Four months in jail: contempt of Congress.
Make no mistake. Those two men were political prisoners of the Biden/Harris administration. Punished because of their allegiance to Donald Trump.
Young men in America have been especially put upon — told their masculinity was a genetic defect.
The left mentally neutered an entire generation — turning red-blood American guys into effeminate "soy boys."
The Democrats idea of masculinity is Gov. ("Tampon") Tim Walz, D-Minn.
The media is in full-blown attack mode.
They still don’t understand that their behavior — their allegiance to the Democrats — was partly to blame for the downfall of the Left.
I will give credit to The New York Times, though.
Opinion writer Bret Stephens said he voted for Harris – but blamed the Democratic Party for the loss. Calling them a "Party of Prigs and Pontificators."
The Democratic Party abandoned their supporters --- leaving them alone in war-torn Washington, D.C. to weep and gnash their teeth.
How unkind of Kamala Harris. How ungracious. Nobody likes a sore loser.
Over the years, they've called us Nazis, xenophobes, and fascists.
Gov. Kathy D. Hochul, D-N.Y., called us anti-American.
They mocked blue-collar workers.
They demeaned people of faith. They called us ignorant — garbage.
But Donald J. Trump, the blue-collar billionaire from Queens, called us his fellow countrymen. And today — we call him president-elect.
