Antisemitic Offenses Soared During Joe Biden's Calamitous Presidency

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) recently reported that antisemitic offenses in the United States have skyrocketed from 1,879 in 2018, to 5,263 in 2023, or a mind-boggling 180%.

Jonathan S. Tobin, editor-in-chief of the Jewish News Syndicate, righteously condemned President Joe Biden for not devoting, in his State of the Union on March 7, "a single word to ... the unprecedented surge of antisemitism sweeping through America."

This antisemitic tsunami, which isn’t “sweeping” across the country, began with 2,717 incidents in 2021, Biden’s first year in the White House.

In 2020, the last year of Donald Trump’s highly successful presidency, there were 2,025 offenses, or 692 fewer.

Moreover, between 2018 and 2020, there were a total of 6,011 antisemitic attacks, or 2,004 annually, during the former president’s last three years in the White House.

But between 2021 and 2023 during Biden’s cataclysmic tenure, there were 11,678, or 3,893 annually, which is a heinous 92% increase.

An analysis of the ADL’s antisemitism map finds that of the 5,263 crimes last year, 3,125, or a grossly disproportional 59%, occurred in 10 mega-populated states with a Democratic trifecta controlling the governorship and both legislative houses.

New York ignominiously led with 704; California, 673; New Jersey, 508; Massachusetts, 328; and Maryland, 244.

Michigan had 165 incidents; Colorado, 141; Connecticut, 137; Illinois, 121; and Washington, 105.

But last year, these Democratic dystopias had 120.9 million residents, or just 36% of America’s 334.2 million in the 50 states.

By contrast, 13 states with a Republican trifecta and each with at least 3.2 million residents, had 998 antisemitic offenses in 2023, or only 19% of the 5,263 total.

These well-run, Deep Red states had 121.8 million residents last year, or an identical 36% of state populations.

Florida led with 278 antisemitic incidents; Texas, 145; Ohio, 136; Georgia, 100; Missouri, 70; and Tennessee and Oklahoma, 56 each.

South Carolina had only 43 offenses in 2023; Louisiana, 33; Alabama, 27; Indiana, 24; Utah, 20; and Iowa, 10.

Consequently, while America’s 50 states had a rate of 1.6 incidents per 100,000 residents, the 10 populous Democratic trifectas had 2.6 per 100,000.

Since the 13 “safe-for-Jewish-Americans” Red trifectas had 0.8 offenses per 100,000, the Democratic rate is an abominable 225% higher than the Republicans'.

In a recent interview with The New York Post, Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt urged besieged Jewish New Yorkers to relocate to Oklahoma.

The Sooner State’s antisemitic rate of 1.5 offenses per 100,000 is much lower than New York state’s 3.6.

Other Democratic-run states with a much higher rate than the national average of 1.6 per 100,000 include New Jersey, 5.5; Massachusetts, 4.7; Maryland, 3.9; and Connecticut, 3.8.

Conversely, among Republican mega-states, Texas is a miniscule 0.5 per 100,000; Georgia, 0.9; and Florida and Ohio, 1.2 each.

Additionally, a more granular examination of ADL’s antisemitic offenses in 2023 finds that a wildly disproportional number have occurred in dysfunctional Democratic cities and their surrounding metro areas.

Of New York’s highest-in-the-nation 704 offenses, 402, or 57%, were in New York City. And 341 of NYC’s incidents, or a humongous 85%, occurred in just two of the city’s five boroughs: Manhattan, 240, and Brooklyn, 101.

With 1,597,000 residents last year, Manhattan, the nation's heart of darkness of left-wing radicalism, had an abhorrent 15 antisemitic offense per 100,000.

Similarly, 123 of the 145 anti-Jewish incidents in Texas, or 85%, occurred in ultra-liberal metro Dallas, Houston and Austin.

Totally-Blue Washington, D.C., with a population of only 679,000, had 42 antisemitic offenses in 2023, or an egregious 6.2 per 100,000. And many of Maryland’s 244 and Virginia’s 150 incidents occurred in Democratic bedroom communities in metro D.C.

Eight states are serviced by Amtrak’s Acela from D.C. to Boston: Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Of the 5,263 antisemitic crimes in America last year, 2,264, or 43%, occurred in these eight blue states and D.C. Most were in the Acela’s urbanized, Northeast corridor, which is unquestionably America’s most antisemitic region.

By contrast, Amtrak’s Auto Train operates from Lorton, Virginia, just south of D.C., to Sanford, Florida, just north of Orlando, passing through five Southern states.

Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida had 659 antisemitic offenses in 2023.

With 58.6 million residents, these red Southern mega-states had 1.1 per 100,000.

But with 61.4 million residents last year, the eight blue states and D.C. had 3.7 offenses per 100,000 in 2023, or a reprehensible increase of 236%.

During Biden’s 38-month catastrophic presidency, this metastasizing antisemitism in Democratic jurisdictions is another disaster that incompetent, radical-left politicians have inflicted on the residents of their disintegrating states, counties and cities.

The avoidable catastrophes include heinous COVID death tolls, lockdowns and mandatory vaccinations; rising crime; failing public schools; sky-high inflation; unprecedented illegal immigration; and the exodus of millions of productive, law-abiding Americans (including many Jews) to Southern states.

But conservative commentators who have justifiably condemned this explosion of antisemitism, including Tobin of Jewish News Syndicate and Rabbi Moshe Hauser (“America’s current tidal wave of antisemitism”), should not characterize it as a nationwide epidemic.

This analysis of ADL’s data proves that the ongoing anti-Jewish madness, during Joe Biden’s failed presidency, has overwhelmingly occurred in one-party, Democratic tyrannies.
