President Joe Biden has once again proven his utter incompetence by signing a do-nothing executive order that pretends to address the border crisis he created. This is nothing more than a cynical election year stunt designed to deceive the American people.
For over three and a half years, Biden's open-border policies have unleashed a flood of illegal migrants into our country, and now he has the gall to claim he's taking action.
This executive order, which supposedly "temporarily shuts down asylum requests once the average number of daily encounters tops 2,500 between official ports of entry," is a pathetic attempt to cover up his failures.
Former Obama Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson warned that even 1,000 apprehensions in a day overwhelms the system. Biden's threshold of 2,500 daily encounters before taking any action is not just weak — it's a green light for an invasion.
Let's be clear: This executive order is a smokescreen, a calculated maneuver to generate headlines and fool the public. Mexican drug cartels will simply redirect their human cargo to official ports of entry, making this order utterly meaningless.
The administration's own fact sheet admits these actions are not permanent, exposing the sheer lack of commitment to securing our borders.
Biden's repeated claims that he could do nothing about the border crisis are outright lies. Approximately 10 million illegal migrants have flooded into the U.S. under his watch, creating an unprecedented crisis.
Now, with elections looming, he suddenly discovers he has the power to act. Speaker Mike Johnson summed it up perfectly: "It's window dressing. Everybody knows it. If he was concerned about the border, he would have done this a long time ago."
The hypocrisy of this administration is staggering. On Jan. 30, Biden claimed, "I've done all I can do" on border security. On June 4, he issued an executive order that does nothing to stem the tide of invasion-level illegal immigration. This is not leadership; it is a betrayal of the American people.
The White House's claims that Biden has been tough on the border are laughable. The administration touts a "historic bipartisan agreement" on immigration reform, but the reality is clear: This administration has legalized illegal immigration and opened the floodgates.
Its actions have not stopped the flow of fentanyl into the U.S., and overdose deaths continue to rise.
Furthermore, the administration's secret instructions to Border Patrol agents reveal its true intentions. A memo obtained by the Washington Examiner shows that agents have been told to release illegal migrants from all but six countries in the Eastern Hemisphere into the U.S.
This directive contradicts public statements and proves this administration's deceit.
Only individuals from Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will face fast removal. Everyone else from the Eastern Hemisphere, including vast regions like the Middle East, Asia, and most of Africa, will be allowed to enter and seek asylum.
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin pointed out the obvious: "Mass catch & release continues for illegal immigrants," with approximately 10 million having entered the U.S. under Biden's watch.
This executive order is not a solution; it's a fraud. It's a desperate attempt by an administration that has failed at every turn to protect our borders and our citizens.
The American people deserve real leadership and real action, not half-hearted measures and empty promises. It's time to hold this administration accountable for the chaos it has unleashed and demand a secure, sovereign America.
We need leaders who will stand up for our country, enforce our laws, and prioritize the safety and security of the American people above all else. The stakes are too high, and the time for action is now.
The American people deserve better than Joe Biden's failed leadership and deceitful tactics. We must reclaim our borders, restore our sovereignty, and protect the future of our great nation.
